  When I see this box I remember growing and buffing up at E60/L17/Bn14 before L55 was organized when this used to be one of L17's northern most 1st due boxes. They had a mascot Dalmatian named Cookie that use to bark and clear the sidewalk in front of the firehouse when a 2100 or 2200 box came in. There were two "1st due truck" 2300 boxes: 2300 & 2303 and three "2nd due truck" 2302, 2310 & 2312 that Cookie didn't recognize and bark for.  Old "War Years" assignment card:
