Hello, we are currently in the process of changing our 1.75 attack lines to a 15/16 smooth bore and also our 2.5 attack lines to a 1 1/8 smooth bore. I was wondering what engine pressure these should be run at for 150' as well as 200' for both the respective lines to achieve max gpm at the tip.

2 1/2 with 1 1/8: 75-80psi pump pressure/265 gpm/50psi nozzle pressure

1 3/4 with 15/16: 150psi pump pressure/185 gpm/50psi nozzle pressure

Both figures are for 200 feet of hose. For 150 feet, try your pump pressure about 10 or so psi less. I would also recommend getting your guys/gals out for a drill on this and see if these pressures are ok for your Dept. Hope this helps Chief.

FDNY ECC Specs
15/16 tip = 50psi
1 1/8 tip = 40psi
1 3/4 = 20psi per length
2 1/2 = 5psi per length
Elevation +/- 5psi per floor

So fire on the 5th Floor, with 6 Lengths of 1 3/4 leed and 2 lengths of 2 1/2.
20psi for elevation
120 psi for the 1 3/4
10 psi for the 2 1/2
50 psi for the tip
200psi at the pump.
