1954 Mack "L" 1000 gallon pumper

Hi gents, does anyone know where I can find a photo of this rig on this site? I know it's here somewhere but now I'm cross eyed from trying to find one. Thanks in advance my friends.

Yes. However I'm looking for a photo from when they were in engine company use and with out the shops added beacon light or plywood roof. Thanks Grump, be well sir.

  The 1954 Mack LHP 1000gpm High Pressure pumpers were from an order of 25 originally assigned to engine companies (1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 24, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 32, 33, 55, & 72) south of 37th St. The rig in the photo was shop #1099 which was originally assigned to E10 until 1963. It then went to E83 where it served as their 2nd pc. wagon until 1965 when E83's 2nd pc. wagon was discontinued because E83 became host engiine for Satellite 2. The '54 Mack became a spare until late 1966. That's when it was reassigned to E65. The reason for that was that E65's 1965 Mack C-95 diesel powered (canopy cab) pumper was reassigned to the "new" E232 in Brownsville. The '54 Mack served E65 until they received a new 1971 Mack CF.    I remember that rig well because I first saw it in late 1962 when I was in passing through Lower Manhattan and had stopped by to see L19's former 1953 ALF right after it had been reassigned to L15. I remember seeing that shiny Mack pumper there. The next time I saw it was it was around 1963 at E83/L29. It had replaced E83's 1947 ALF that was O.O.S. so much that E83 had been using C.D. 46, a 1954 Ward LaFrance Civil Defense pumper as their 2nd pc.    I got to see the "54 Mack at a few Multi-Unit Drills at Lincoln Ave. & 132nd St. Later on in 1967, I was working at a camera store next door to E65's firehouse and I got to see that rig every day, not knowing that it was the same rig that was the 2nd pc. wagon for E83. In those days E65 had Rescue 1 in their firehouse and the engine had to be rolled out to let the rescue out.

Story then was that the Captain of Engine 65 - being in charge of the house - insisted that the Engine be always parked up front in the single bay, with the Rescue behind.  Rescue 1 may not have liked that arrangement.
