Great clear shots Truck4.  We heard of the crash while we were in class.  After school I went over to the scene (Park Slope).  Really tragic.  RIP to all the victims.

I was in St. Teresa's on St. Johns & Classon that day. We heard the crash as well and could smell the smoke and fuel when we walked home at lunch. There was the steady sound of sirens and a constant flow of ambulances down Eastern Parkway around Grand Army Plaza to the scene.
Years later, I remember some of the guys in 132 telling us about their experiences there.
One of those things you never forget. RIP to the victims

After this incident there was the USS Constellation fire.  All day fire trucks and emergency  vehicles were travelling down Clinton Avenue to the Navy Yard

52 years ago this week......12-16-60 Mid air plane crash......then 12-19-60 the USS Constellation Fire in the BKLYN Navy Yard.
