Disp....R*1 & R*3 were assigned by the Manhattan Disp. (R*3 was quartered on 181 St in Manh. back then)..... due to a glitch somewhere in the communications network R*2 the 2nd closest Rescue was never notified.... I was working in 108 that night...we did not go...awhile into the job a fellow I knew in R*2 called me up & asked what was going on at the Third ?..... That was another sad day for the FDNY.

Chief, once again I am sorry for the loss of your high school friend and Brother FDNY Firefighter.

May they all Rest in Peace.
