Heading south on 11th Ave Saturday evening was passed by L77 going north. ??? Then I realized they must have been going to 1406 as relief.

Yes, both S.I. SOC Support trucks, TL77 & 79 were at 66-1406 a couple of times

Today around 14:30 Hrs, The fire was been placed under control.  All secondary searches are negative, including adjoining buildings

Isn't that one of the ESU units?  Not sure, but it seems I have seen that in other pictures as well.​

Isn't that one of the ESU units?  Not sure, but it seems I have seen that in other pictures as well.

It actually is a fully stocked ambulance manned by EMTs. They transport MOSs and can transport them from the scene or to and from different medical facilities. I've also heard the member can be active or retired but I'm not sure. Maybe someone who knows more or first-hand can help out.​

They Police Officers..usually from ESU.

At least into the Early 90's, NYPD Ambulance Service was available for Retired Members...
When I worked at Sty-Town we had a Retired M.O.S. Resident on 14th St. who required Dialysis
Regularly, ( he was actually quite ill & later Passed ), and an NYPD-ESU Ambulance was frequently there to take him & return him home.

Yet another ridiculous duplication of services between NYPD and FDNY!  Why in the world does the NYPD need an ambulance?  It obviously will never be in the right place to respond if the 1st due ambulance for an incident involving a police officer.  If it's just around for transportation of those with illnesses it also seems ridiculous.  I suppose they just have it to show up and look good at incidents like this.​
