There was a period of time back in the late 60's/early 70's when 3700 series boxes were used to fill in "gaps" in coverage. The boxes mentioned above are an example as is 3762 at Bedford & Montgomery (in the Ebbits Field Houses) area. So you will see these boxes all over the place.

Not to get off topic, but I wondered why although Coney Island is 3500 box series - certain addresses on Bayview Avenue near Neptune the box is 3977.

3700s are in varying locations in BKLYN...3755 = Evergreen & Green Aves...3756 = Evergreen Ave & Palmetto St....3757 = Varet & White Sts....3758 ( formerly Cook & Morrell ) now 7 Ave & 92 St...3759 = Eastern Pkwy Extension & Somers St.....3760 = Eastern Pkwy & Ralph Av....3762 = Montgomery St & Bedford Ave....3763 = Riverdale Ave & Amboy St.......some more along Prospect Park also.

Yes 3700s were all over.....in 108 on Seigel St we (as well as 237) were !st Due to the former 3755 Bogart & Ingram since changed to Box 287.....the former 3756 Bogart & Rock since changed to 295 ..... the former 3758 Cook & Morrell since changed to 701 Box Moore St 75' West of Bushwhick .....both Units are still 1st
Due at 3757 Varet & White.....as said 3700s were used in may different areas of BKLYN ...at one time 3715 was 231/120/44s Home Box at Glenmore Ave & Watkins St it has since changed to 1674 which had previously been Linden Blvd & Crescent St.
