Box 3141: second alarm at 1357 East 55 Street, near Avenue K. Div. 15, Deputy Chief Jakubowski reports four lines stretched with three in operation, bow in the walls, members being removed from building, still doubtful.
@1512: Div. 15: neighbors report an explosion in the building prior to the fire.
Engine 234 relocating to Engine 255.

@1518: Div. 15, DC Jakubowski places this fire probably will hold; fire building is 2 frame 20 x 60 occupied PD.
