Before this housing development was built in 1980, this was a brush fire box. Vicinity of South Shore Golf Course. Before E 167/L 87 and E 168 firehouses were built, Engine 164/L 84 and Engine 162/L 82 (or Engine 151/L76) were assigned with B23 on initial alarm. Long 5+ mile runs for 2nd due E & T when PDs were involved.

I think Huguenot Ave might be quicker for E 164. It is a straight run and maybe less traffic than Arthur Kill Rd.
