Div. 11 operated at a second alarm at box 310 for a fire at 144 Division Avenue, Greenpoint Section of Brooklyn.

@0919: Div. 11 reported pulling all members out of the building and going to defensive attack.

@0920: Div. 11: special call additional chief.  Batt. 28 s/c.

CIDS: catering hall and stores, 2 story 120 x 40, private dwelling on second floor, unstable roof, maize like conditions, aka 185 Clymer Street.

Should staging be necessary the location will be Roebling Street and Division Avenue.

@0934: Ladder 18 acting Ladder 119 is on Brooklyn frequency relocating.

@0935: Engine 332 acting Engine 237 is 10-8.  Ladder 123 acting Ladder 108 is 10-8.

@0937: Car 4D is 10-84.

@0938: Engine 292 is on Brooklyn relocating to Engine 229.

@0940: Field Comm.: Div. 11, Deputy Chief Campbell reports original fire building was 2 story 50 x 30, extended to exposure 4 which is 2 stories 25 x 30, 4 lines stretched and in operation, one tower ladder in operation, fire is doubtful.

@0941: Engine 283 acting Engine 235 is 10-8.

@0951: Field Comm.: Car 4D, Deputy Asst. Cheif Pfeiffer reports 3 tower ladders in operation, 4 handlines in operation, fire beginning to darken down, still doubtful.  Fire duration is 46 minutes.

@0954: Field Comm.: the exposures are 1- street, 2- street, 3- street, 4- 2 story 25 x 30.  Original fire building is an irregularly shaped building on a triangular lot.

@1013: Field Comm.: Car. 4D, DAC Pfeiffer reports continuing to use 3 tower ladders, 4 handlines, fire is in the cockloft, using outside attack, still doubtful.  Location of the fire is Division Avenue and Bedford Avenue.

@1029: Engine 217 and Tower Ladder 105 s/c.   Have them respond on Roebling from Division.

@1048: Field Comm.: DAC Pfeiffer reports still using 3 tower ladders and 4 handlines, having difficulty reaching the seat of the fire, repositioning the tower ladders, still doubtful.

Batt. 1 relocated to Batt. 31; Batt. 6 relocated to Batt. 35.

@1116: Rescue 2 is 10-8.

@1118: Field Comm.: DAC Pfeiffer reports 4 tower ladders and 4 handlines in operation, still having difficulty reaching seat of the fire, maintaining outside attack, still doubtful.

@1119: Rescue Batt. and TAC 1 are 10-8.

@1132: Field Comm.: DAC Pfieffer reports still using 4 tower ladders and 4 handlines, partial collapse of exposure 4 side of fire building, transmit third alarm for relief, no staging area necessary, no staging chief required, no mask service unit, the ladder company on the third alarm will replace Ladder 102 as the fast truck.  Fire duration 2 hours 28 minutes.

Engines 218, 226, 219, 206  Ladder 110 (fast truck)  Batt. 32  units to respond to Division Avenue and Clymer Street.

@1152: Ladder 3 acting Ladder 110 is 10-8.

@1155: Ladder 102 is 10-8 from box 310.

@1159: Engine 4 acting Engine 226 is 10-8.

@1205: Field Comm.: DAC Pfeiffer reports still extinguishing pockets of fire in the rear, fire is probably will hold.  Fire duration is three hours.

@1306: Field Comm.: special call two tower ladders and two engines for relief: T/L 111, T/L 131, E 202, and E 233 s/c.

@1310: Engine 202 placed in service.  Engine 234 s/c to replace Engine 202.


 
Second alarm on arrival @ 09:12 hours.  TL124 and Battalion 28 were special called over the 2nd, box # I think is actually 310 (Division and Driggs)
