Flushing Queens (that's a really big job!) is actually larger than most people think. It's not just the area surrounding Main St. & Roosevelt Ave.
Flushing is made up of the following - not sure if they could be categorized as hamlets or villages, but they run basically west from the city line and north from Union Turnpike, south from the East River (Little Neck Bay) to various parts west of the Van Wyck Expy.,including:
LaGuardia Airport, East Elmhurst, Maspeth, Middle Village, Rego Park, Jackson Heights, Corona,:.
East of the VanWyck: College Point, Malba, Flushing, Beechhurst, Auburndale, Bayside, Fresh Meadows, Oakland Gardens, Douglaston, Little Neck and Ft. Totten.
