22:28 - Fire is doubtful. Using all hands for a fire in a 20 x 80 commercial, 6 story Multiple Dwelling.

22:37 - Special call an additional truck, which is Tower Ladder 1. Have the Satellite report in and set up a manifold. We are putting Ladder 3 and Ladder 9 to work.

22:40 - Staging area for 3rd alarm if needed, Grand St. and Chrystie. Tower Ladder 1 report to command post, you're going to work  

22:42 - Special call an additional truck on top of Tower Ladder 1, which is Ladder 8. Have Ladder 8 report to the CP, they're going to work

Any reason why the Citywide Tour Commander was on the scene 20 minutes into this incident?  It seems a little strange, unless he happened to be in the area.
 
Chief Esposito likes to take in jobs.  I've heard him take in seemingly routine All-Hands before.

Right now, I'm on an upper floor of a building on West 23rd Street and I can see the smoke and fire glow from here.  Say a prayer that nobody gets hurt on this one.
 
Local channels have interrupted their broadcasts. Over 250 firefighters are on the scene.
