Does anyone know the protocals for fires in the prison system?

Units are met at the gate by corrections dept. and escorted. Inmates are secured and relocated before FD personnel enter by Corrections ESU. Corrections has their own engine on rikers that is staffed by them. They are trained in fire suppression at the rock by FD. They handle small stuff like rubbish and mattress fires. When needed they call FD.

Quick Question:

Are ALL FD personnel searched prior and on leaving the prison??

We had and incident hear last year when FF EMS where told to hand over their mobile (cell) phones before going into a prison. They refused and where refused entry
