Report of a fire in the basement of a PD.

Send out that Glen Cove tiller, only one of two in Nassau County.  The other is in Freeport as far as I can remember.

And there will soon be one in Rockville Centre.  They have decided to replace their Pierce 105' rear mount with a tiller.

In days of yore, there were tillers in Valley Stream and Woodmere (classic Seagraves), Hewlett (American LaFrance), Rockville Centre, East Rockaway and Lynbrook (C model Mack), Franklin Square, Floral Park and New Hyde Park (Pirsch), and maybe more.

Nah, Kevin.  If I can do it from Virginia, you can do it from NYC.  Just follow the Nassau FD Rant (http://www.nassaufdrant.com/forum/) or the Long Island fire photographers (Bill Grogan, Lou Minutoli, Zone 2, Snick, Fred Kopf, K-Mad, Bill Bennett, You're My Focus, etc., etc., etc.)

I grew up in East Rockaway (my brother's still there), went to St Ann's/Archbishop Molloy HS & St. Francis College (Bklyn), and I've been a buff all my life.  I like to follow the FD's of my youth.
