23:33: Bn-41 - Using 2x2, kitchen fire in apt 2G

23:36: Bn-41 - Used All Hands, fire is U/C, no special units

Bklyn Box 2427 Foster & NY Aves is part of FDNY History.....a large complex of bldgs originally called the Vandeveer Projects (although not the project construction that may come to mind) then called the Vandeveer Houses then as almost all the bldgs were ravaged by Fire in the very late '70s into the early '80s it was simply referred to as  Vandeveer....in later years after extensive rehab the bldgs were renamed Vandeveer Estates & now Flatbush Gardens....  http://www.apartmentratings.com/ny/brooklyn/flatbush-gardens_718564126011210/review-887888/
 
Absolutely correct Chief.  Did many runs to Vanderveer during my days at E 248.  They are normally 2nd due there; perhaps they missed this one.

Yes John 248 is still 2nd due at 2427.

Great Stuff, Guys, Thank You. Back in my 'Buffin' Days @ 255/157 I'd been to a few Fires ( Mostly 3&2 Apt. Jobs) There.
John, our paths had to have crossed at least a couple of times.... Chief K. & I have recalled when he & I crossed, & he knows
2 of my friends from there, the Raile Brothers, John & Phil  8)
