Question:  Waiting for EMS, and ESU to test the white powder.  Why ESU?  I would think that Haz Mat 1 could and would handle this. Could someone explain the protocol on who does what to who?

Woo, lots of questions.

HazMat 18 is the designation for their second piece.

HazMat 1 was not available due to the 10-86.  Plus since this was being treated as a crime scene I believe PD takes priority.

I thought that the Squads were exempt from BISP?

I thought so too but that's the reason Squad gave for being out of quarters and delayed.

SQUADS now are doing BISP since the increased program after the D.Bank fire.

Fdny for the most part does not do anything with white powder jobs being that they are crime scenes. Main role of fdny is for decon and transport of patients. They don't call us unless there is a patient.
