I have been listening to the Brooklyn tapes and have come up with the following with more to come.

Box 1377 was transmitted by Brooklyn CO as a staging area at the entrance to the Battery tunnel.
The units assigned to this box 1377 initially are:
E202
L101
E204
L131
SQ1
48BN
E224
E239
E210
L122
L105
L132
40BN
11DIV
These units went in on the 5th alarm into 2WTC.

Also there were;
6 engines
6 trucks
3 chiefs that were staging at the mid town tunnel. No units were identified and what happened to them is unknown. This info comes from a patch that was on the Brooklyn tape between 9charlie and 9david.

I am working on more as there were more units sent into box 1377 to stage after the first group of units were sent into 2WTC.

See I Knew It Had A xx77 in the box number, but its ok, now ill learn from my mistake

Your memory is better than mine (or you are older than I :)) The Januaru 1951 issue of WNYF chronicles a hurricane of November 1950 that hit the city. It mentions the 6-6-6-6 order for Staten Island and the efforts there seem eerily similar to events of Sandy. (Hurricanes in those days were named by military phonetics.) It later describes a second alarm in Manhattan that was actually a third alarm because of the recall. I was too young to remember any of this but did recall the article. Other incidents in the other boroughs are included so one must assume it was a total recall for the department. Oddly, the National Weather Service listed no hurricanes for November 1950. It must have been a big nor'easter.

I was also told that a recall for the 1977 Blackout was issued but rescinded before it could take effect. Still hunting for others ('65 blackout, hurricanes in the mid -50's, etc.).

Realizing this is off the topic of this thread, I recommend a new one be started if anyone wishes to pursue this subject.

Hi Captain

I am retired from the DCFD (Washington DC Fire) and I am very interested in the 911 responses. I would appreciate it if you would send me a copy of your 911 records. Thanks, Bob
