All through out S.I,Queens,Brooklyn reports of trees down,wires,trees into homes, Multi Brooklyn Units enroute to SI.
Time: 1744 hrs
castleton Ave/Sharpe Ave -- LARGE TREE into a house with major damage to the attic.
Person hit be falling tree in front of a fire house.
Tottenville and Port Richmond area -- NO POWER
E202 Reporting Collapse of a vacant bldg  Hamilton/Bush
Queens --Fatal Trauma -- Grand Central Pkway/Queens Blvd -- 1 DOA in a car after being hit by a tree

Multi Power Outages in the City
Members have to Walk to many of these Locations do to debrie all over

Manhattan  --Mass Transit Delay at Penn Station do to trees all over the train tracks

All DISPATCHERS Did an AMAZING JOB AS ALAWAYS during all these runs.

What a storm that rolled right through SI, Park Slope, and into Queens. Reports are starting to come out of a Tornado that touched down in Park Slope.

Sounds like SI has enough Brooklyn units operating as they try to access all the damage reports.
 
Battalions 46, 50 and Division 14 have staging areas set up in Forest Hills, that's where the Bronx units are going.  The 46 just requested OEM and Sanitation with "any heavy lifting equipment they can get."  Battalions 3 and 18 S/C as well
 
SSLs/CPCs and BFUs are going into service on SI and in Queens as rapid response units.

  "Catry", what are CPCs ? Only thing I can figure is Command Post Companies or Chemical Protective Companies.
 
Did I hear right with SI dispatcher sending units to pick up BFU's and respond as a two segmented company?
 
Sounds like they may use the 2nd pieces of ssl and cpc companies with 2 men per unit to respond to certain types of calls, also use brush units with 2 men to answer calls. Keeps regular available for larger emergencies or fires.
 
Rob,  you're giving EXCELLENT UPDATES on that First Post. Great. Rob a Task Force is two engines and a truck. Companies stage at various firehouses and are dispatched together as 2 and 1. There are selected firehouses for such.I know 92/44 was one in the BX.
 
2 + 1 under Emergency Command Procedures used to be called FCT - Fire Control Teams. I never heard the term Task Force used in NYC. Maybe its something new  in IC terminology.
 
With Task Force term being used, I know that CPC could stand for "Command Post Company". I'm trying to remember how the numbers would go. Companies at 92 I think were called CPC 192, CPC 292, CPC 392 etc. Each would be two Engines and one Truck. As I remember there were about 20 firehouses throughout the city designated as Command Post and Staging areas. This might be whats going on in Staten Island with Task forces and the term CPC.

  Turk Thanks thats it. FCT Fire Control Teams. Mostly set up for Hostile Activity, riots etc right ? I just caught that you wrote that.
