My prayers and condolences to the family and friends, as well as the Brothers and Sisters of the FDNY/EMS and FDNY.

To ALL of our First Responders, I share your loss with you.

Such a unjustified death and sad story.

But we can believe that she is with her CREATOR now, as her last act in life was to help another human being.

REST IN PEACE FDNY/EMS Lt Russo-Elling.

Terrible news, God bless her, her family and work colleagues. When does it stop?

Answer the Call joins all of New York City in mourning the tragic death of FDNY Emergency Medical Service Lieutenant Alison Russo-Elling. A 25-year-veteran and World Trade Center first responder, Lieutenant Russo-Elling tragically lost her life due to a senseless act of violence while serving our city.

We offer our sincere condolences to Lieutenant Russo-Elling's family. We vow to always remember her as a true hero and never forget her ultimate sacrifice. Answer the Call will be providing her family with $50,000 to help assist with immediate expenses.

Sincerely,
The Board of Directors and Staff of Answer the Call
