I didn't hear the initial assignment, but E-71 was assigned as an extra engine per Div-6's request for an extra engine & truck (L-48) and the 17th Bn. was the 10-75 chief.

It was quite a long job, with very few progress reports over the air, all I heard is "3 lines stretched, 2 in operation", went U/C after about an hour.

Div-6 reported 3 10-45's, original all code-4's, but 2 of them were later upgraded by EMS to code-2's due to their age.
