In Connecticut there is a very special breed of heroes that we seldom hear about.
Yet they save thousands of lives from major injuries or sickness.

They are the men and women who work on our Life Star Helicopters throughout the state.
They are located in three hospitals
Life Star 1 - Hartford Hospital - Hartford, Ct
Life Star 2 - Backus Hospital - Norwich, Ct
Life Star 3 - Midstate Hospital - Meriden, Ct

On May 30, 2025, they marked 40 years of service with over 50,000 life-saving flights.

Here is a story about this life saving service from a Connecticut local TV News Channel

They also have Sky Health which 1 is located in Stratford and 1 Long Island i believe they are through Yale Health that do hospital to hospital higher level of care calls. I believe not 100% sure

Obviously not the same as Life Star. But heroes in the sky
