RET FDNY LT JAMES P MARRON..... EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Lt. James P. Marron of Eastchester died May 12. He was 85.

Lt. Marron served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1946 to 52. He retired as a lieutenant from Engine 88 in the New York City Fire Department.

Lt. Marron is survived by his wife, Vlasta Marron; children, Robert K. Marron, Michael Kerry Marron, Anthony (Paula) Colello and Frances (Michael) Costanzo; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, James Kevin Marron; and brother, John Marron.

Calling hours are Thursday, May 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16 at the funeral home. Interment of ashes to follow at Kensico Cemetery.

FDNY RET Lt. John Halpin, Ladder 33, age 61, suddenly last evening.

In 2009, John welcomed his son James, now with the NYPD, home from service overseas. Please remember him, and the rest of their lovely family and friends in thoughts & prayers. RIP brother! Surely angels guided thee to thy rest where we will see you again one day!

John received the M. J. Delhanty Medal in '99 ... it was said at that time: "Appointed to the FDNY in May 1979. Previously assigned to E-75, L-34 and E-67. Member of the Emerald Society. Recipient of the Dr. J.W. Goldenkranz Medal and cited on three other occasions. Holds a BA degree in Political Science from Iona College. Brother, Neil, serves as a Lieutenant in Engine Company 79. Cousin, Neil McGovern, is a Firefighter assigned to Ladder Company 39. Resides in Highland Mills with his wife, Marilyn, and children, John, 17, James, 14, Virginia, 10, and Caroline, 7."

(October 12, 1937 - June 2, 2014)
Michael V. Stewart, 76, of Stroud Township, died Monday afternoon,
June 2, at the Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg. He was the
husband of Virginia (Schwartz) Stewart with whom he shared 51 years of
marriage.
Born on October 12, 1937 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and
Helen (Hariu) Stewart and lived in Monroe County for the past 19 years moving
from Astoria, NY.
He served in the United States Navy and was a New York City Fireman for 34
years until retiring in 1994.
Michael was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Stroudsburg.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Michael V. Stewart, Jr. and his wife
Kathy of Mt. Vernon, NY; three grandchildren, Michael III, George and
Angelique; a sister, Patricia Centofranci and her husband John on Azusa, CA; a
brother-in-law, Mario Gargano of Pleasantville, NY and several nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Gargano.
There will be a viewing from 1:00 to 2:00PM on Wednesday, June 4, at the
William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. A prayer
service will begin at 2:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at

I work in NJ with a member of my job who grew up with Mr. O'Connor's kids. He passed the other night and the family would like any FDNY member who can attend his funeral, as it would mean a lot to them. its a 1 day funeral this Saturday in Maywood, NJ, less than 10 miles from the GWB. E MAIL FROM THE UFOA.....QUOTE.. The Department is saddened to announce the passing of retired Lieutenant Keith Loughlin (L-109). Before being promoted to Lieutenant, Keith was a valued member of L-132. Lieutenant Loughlin died as a result of illness that he contracted while working at the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks at the WTC. Keith's wife, Lori, is an EMS Lieutenant assigned to Station 23. His son, Jesse is an active member of L-132.


The UFOA is asking all members, active and retired to remember that this is a LOD Death. Please make every effort to attend.
