Sorry to hear of Jacks (John) passing , worked with him hundreds of times.  Men like Jack put the pride in this job, another iron fireman gone, we had some great adventures on the LIRR when he'd show up with a square bag for the commute...strength and honor to his family

RIP LT McKean.

Was he related to Engineer John D McKean, LODD 1953 - fireboat namesake?

REST IN PEACE BROTHER.....PRAYERS FOR THE COMFORT OF THE FAMILIES.....Harry started on Sheffield Av in 103-2 prior to the layoffs....when rehired he went to 175.....I worked w/Harry on Bradford St where he was great LCC ....some newer FFs thought the nickname "lead foot" had to do w/his driving but actually had to do w/him having a RM tormentor accidentally come down on his foot...... on the night tour of 9-10-11 he was detailed to SQ*41 & was in transit back to SQ*18 for the day tour but it was thought he responded w/41 & he was on the original list of the missing but was gladly seen alive at the site later.
