January 1, 2018 to March 31, 2018:

Staten Island:
  1/8 - Overturned DSNY salt spreader with extrication, Richmond and Arthur Kill Rd
  1/9 - Car into a house at 190 Fieldway Ave off Hylan Blvd
  1/22 - Car into tree, split in half with serious injures at Henderson Ave and Lois Place
  1/26 - All hands overturned cement truck on MLK Expressway at Bayonne Bridge Toll Plaza
  1/29 - Car into gas station with Haz Mat at Richmond Ave and Victory Blvd
  3/2 - Overturned Tractor Trailer with pin and Haz Mat Verrazzano Narrows Bridge
  3/2 - Second Overturned Tractor Trailer with NO pin on Verrazzano Bridge
  3/30 - Tractor Trailer carrying oil spilling into the street from accident at 1639 Richmond Rd

Queens:
  1/13 - Two people started fire on third floor barricaded themselves in apartment at 79-29 Myrtle Ave. Numerous NYPD units from 102, 104 Pct and ESU assigned
  1/25 - Person under LIRR train below the rear of Maggie Mays Restaurant/Bar located at 41 Ave and 214 Place
  2/6 - Ice rescue of 11 year old at Forest Park. CPR in use.
  2/11 - Engine 303 involved in MVA into building at Liberty Ave and 150 St. Five members injured.
  3/2 - Live wires down on Engine 299 with members inside at Kent St and Tudor Rd

Manhattan:
  2/12 - White Powder/Decon letter received by Donald Trump Jrs wife
  2/16 - Collapse of fire escape from 7th floor with several injures at 434 Broadway off Howard St.
  2/27 - Haz Mat incident involving 300 gallons of oil spilled in basement at 335 East 95 St
  3/11 - Fatal helicopter crash in East River off East 90 to East 95th St

Brooklyn:
  1/19 - Water leak in basement at 1021 Union St and Franklin with two DOAs of decomposed elderly twins
  1/20 - All hands natural gas explosion at 151 Bay 49th St off Cropsey Ave with four injures
  3/5 - Multiple pedestrians struck at 5th Ave and 9th St. 2 adults injured, 2 children DOA
  3/12 - Haz Mat with suspicious substance sent to judge at Kings County Supreme Courthouse

Bronx:
  1/28 - All hands auto accident with extrication S/B Bronx River Parkway at 233 St

All the statistical work you do is superb.  I hope you're archiving it because it'll make a helluva resource for researchers, training officers, historians (especially neighborhood historians) and anyone else interested in the Fire Service and daily life in New York City.

  5/3 - Motorcycle accident Belt Parkway near Exit 5, Bay Parkway. Loss of limb at scene.
  5/15 - Unusual Occurrence at Box 2433. Kitchen fire at 1480 Flatbush Ave off Glenwood Rd. two bodies stabbed to death in apartment.
  5/17 - Collapse Box 1308. Wall collapse at 217 9th St between 3/4 Aves.
  5/21 Trauma Box. Construction worker fell 3 stories down shaft at 4915 10th Ave.
  5/24 - Collapse Box 1558. Collapse of 10 x 20 retaining wall at 21 St and Beverly Rd.
  5/30 - Haz Mat Box 0430 at 6 Metro Tech center. Liquid Nitrogen spill on 8th fllor of 8 story 360 x 125 building.
  6/9 - Multiple MVAs Box 2530 at 18th Ave and 59 St. Garbage truck hit several cars, no pins.

  4/27 - Box 4507, mutual aid to Pelham Manor. garage fire at 5 Elm Tree Lane off Forest Rd (City line).

As we read in the "News of Members, page 67, reply # 990 - Not Every event that takes place gets posted. These numbers are provided only because somebody heard the event going on and posted it.

We see that here with the recent event of this site owner, Lt Tom Bendick, awarded a Class A medal. Along with the members of Engine Co 66 being award a "Unit Citation" for their part in a water rescue event in the Bronx on May 13, 2018.

According to the quote above, on that date in the Bronx there was a collapse of a retaining wall posted by one of the members (Thank you Brad, aka "signal 73"). But no report of a separate incident involving a water rescue of civilians trapped upside down in their car.

As much as there is a good faith effort by several members to post each incident, there are times when these numbers may not be accurate.

These numbers, along with the monthly Fire Activity Report on this site, are given merely as a "rough count" of some of the workings of the FDNY.

Despite an EXCELLENT Effort put forth by the members here, they are NOT official FDNY numbers.
