Hundreds of stranded commuters were evacuated from a stranded Blue line MBTA train Tuesday afternoon. Train was in a tunnel under Boston Harbor between the Maverick and Aquarium stations. It took BFD firefighters about an hour to evacuate approximately 500 passengers. They used 3 Nolan carts, 2 on the Boston side and one in East Boston to help those who required assistance. Always got the beegeebies when I took the Sumner/Callahan tunnels under the harbor!
