Bronx Engine 45 Ladder 58

They are actually two separate firehouses. 45s firehouse was built in 1885 and they were a single Engine until they built a firehouse to house Ladder 58. Ladder 58 moved into the firehouse may of 1974 at the same time battalion 18 moved from the Engine side to the new firehouse that same year. The buildings are attached now to make one firehouse
 
The new firehouse was built to replace the old firehouse. Engine 45 and a proposed Ladder 60 would move into the new firehouse. The cities budget woes caused the cancellation of L60 so Ladder 58 and Squad 1 were moved over from the old 46/27 firehouse on E 176 St to the new firehouse. I don't know if that was due to the budget woes or the need for a truck in E45's area. Probably both.
