CHARLESTON 9.... CONTINUED REST IN PEACE BROTHERS.

It was another very sad and tragic day for the fire service.

Remember it well.

May these brave firefighters continue to Rest in Peace and my extended condolences to the family members, their friends, and Brother and Sister Firefighters.

My brothers in Charleston lost some great firefighters. A few know it, but a team from the FDNY Counseling Service Unit spent a good deal of time counseling the brothers in Charleston and helping through this most difficult time. I myself visited the site and when I was there only a homemade memorial was in place. May we never forget June 18th, 2007, and Sept 11th, 2001, and the Father's Day Fire and all the other sad days when the Bravest of the Brave gave all. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired & Peer Counselor FDNY Counseling Service Unit.

We also remember "The Worcester Six" fire in which SIX Worcester, Mass Firefighters were killed battling a fire in the Worcester Cold Storage Building the night of December 3, 1999.

Lt Thomas Spencer, Lt Timothy Jackson, Lt James Lyons, Firefighter Paul Brotherton, Firefighter Jeremiah Lucey and Joesph McGuirk.

May they Rest in Peace as we look back on that very tragic, sad night of December 3, 1999.
