Do you know what companies did the most fire duty?
Please read the last sentence, CFD does not break their activity down for fire, ems, etc. Usually I could not get this information on runs, I was almost considering a FOI request one year. Last year it was only top 5 that I saw printed anywhere. But if the information becomes available I will post it.

Back in 1971 when the city began to purchase property people remarked it was a pretty desolate area for a new firehouse. That area was the site of the large steel mills that helped develop this country, now they are rusting hulks. There has always been talk about a major development of that area but those are still just plans. Another reason I believe was this area included the residence of a prominent Chicago alderman from the 10th Ward, "Fast Eddie Vrydoliak". But who am I to suggest politics interfere with the actions of the CFD. The adjacent towns would be Burnham, Calumet City and directly east is Hammond IN. And in the "Backdraft" movie they used designations for companies that are OOS but there is a house for E46/T17.

This morning I received the numbers for the ambulance runs. Ambulance 10 on the West Side with E-95 and Truck 26 had 8994 runs. That is just insane. I will not get into how that system is mis-used but the top 10 ambulances all did 6000+ runs. If you add E-95's 5065 runs, and Truck 26's 5410 runs, top truck, you get an astounding total of 19,469 incidents. Still hoping to get a fire/ems breakdown for this thread.
