According the mayor there are no "sacred cows" CFD is not immune from cuts. This mayor has stated when he ran for mayor police fire and police were safe from cuts. Another public official saying one thing until he gets elected and the story changes.

I heard they were looking from going 24 hour shifts to 8 hour shifts. Are they now looking at companies and manpower cuts??

I have no idea but I am sure OT would go through the roof. The way these mopes think they would probably close the downtown companies at night  because no one is around. All these financial problems are the direct result of the former mayor's refusal to do anything. He just buried his head in the sand and hoped it would go away, when the problem kept getting worse he decided not to run for re-election and leave the problem for someone else. And the union contract expires in June, I am sure the city will go after minimum staffing. Stay tuned.

Yes the city is going after 4 to a rig. Some moron alderman wants to convert 20% of fire supression rigs to ambulance duties according to press reports. Just report the info, will get more accurate info.
