Companies Awaiting New Arrivals

My guess is that they tried to customize the plate saying "82 Truck" and it became messed up by putting "Truck 82" accidently. I'm sure they will change it.

Ladder 83 has their new rig in service.

Cool about 83 in service.

But with 82, they even have " TRUCK 82 " on the rear, not LADDER 82.

check the link, all the others have " LADDER "

I remember reading somewhere that before completion, manufacturers asked companies for picture of their co. logo/emblem so they could place it on the rig and/or ladderboard. Is it possible that the company wanted it to be lettered: TRUCK 82? ???

That would make the most sense.

The lettering was done in error . It has been fixed and hopefully it will be on the road shortly

Knew the guys over at 82 Truck wouldn't want "Truck 82" on the rig. Either way they are sharp lookin machines

l guess l'm a little baffled as to the taboo of  "TRUCK 82"  was ?
It is just not the way a Unit would be designated in the FDNY.
