If a company relocates to cover another and a run comes in for the co that they are covering, who gets credit for the run? the covering co or the original co?

The relocator gets credit for the run. Companies record runs on a form CD-14, usually kept in a binder. There is a section in the binder marked relocators where runs made by the relocator are recorded. However these runs are not added to the yearly tally of the original company. When the relocated company returns to their own quarters, a record of the relocation run is entered in their CD14 as wel as the number of runs made on relocation. This counts in their yearly total.

BTW, the relocation itself is also counted as a run, but not the return from relocation.

In addition, if a company is relocated to another company and responds to a run, the run is placed on the CD14 in RED INK with the next avaliable run number only used by a relocating company.  Example on Dec 29, E 308 has 200 calls for the month so far and gets a job and E 319 relocates there. As of Dec 29, other companies relocated to E 308 did a total of 45 runs so far for that month. If E 319 gets a run while relocated there , E 319 takes a mark on the CD14 in red ink with the next number being 46 and ect.
