Cops find way around congestion pricing

Not sure about LTs and Captains, which seem to be the focus of this article, but I’m pretty sure the actual department brass (inspectors, chiefs, etc.) are given take-home cars to carry out their duties. Believe the rules are they can use it to drive into work and back home, but not for anything else (like going to the store) while not on duty.

This makes sense when you consider brass can be called in for high priority jobs while off-duty.

I also know the FDNY has a similar system, although not positive about the nuances of it.

“membership has its privileges” it’s the same test any of these people could of chose to take but didn’t. The receptionist at the drs office is not getting called out of bed for a triple homicide or a cop getting shot at 2 am on a Sunday. Article is a big nothing…. Keep it moving
