I am tired of this crap. He went to them for a job, he knew the requirements. 3AM in a smoke-filled hallway wouldn't want him next to me!

As I understood it, most fire departments don't allow hair that long whether it is dreadlocks, a long pony tail or pretty pig tails.

Nor do any that I know of allow beards of any type again for safety reasons.  The only possible basis he would have for the lawsuit is that they wanted him to remove them prior to being hired.

When are people going to stop trying to create their own rules? Certain jobs have certain requirements. If you don't meet the requirements then you are not qualified for the job! Where is the discrimination? I want to be a doctor but I can't pass chemistry so I'm suing! What a freaking wedge head!
