Is this building connected at all to E68 L49

It was once suppose to be for an EMS station but then they obtained an old fire house

Is there anything in it that could be used as a temporary fire house if 68/49 would have to moved?

I know they use to keep a reserved rig in an alley and a 84 Mack in there but by the looks of it it doesn’t look habitable

Is there a living space/ kitchen/ bathroom Etc

It was to be an outpost for EMS back in the 70's. Since that time plans have changed & EMS moved into the former qtrs of Eng 68 & Lad 49 a few blocks away after Fire Safety gave up that facility. Maybe they forgot about the facility.

I found out some information about this. So it was a rest stop for the EMS at the time. It was never connected to the firehouse but recently they did break down a wall and it’s their gym now.

The small garage area in question located behind the current quarters of Engine 68 & Ladder 49 operated separately from the fire companies and It was known as the Ogden Outpost. EMS unit 22B turned out of the location. Total of 9 EMT’s assigned to the location. Had lockers and a small pantry type area. The members assigned to this location were supervised by the officers from Station 22 previously located on Webster Avenue. Station 22 was disbanded and became Station 26 in the former quarters of Engine 85 at 1264 Boston Road. The Ogden Outpost was Vacated shortly after the merge in 1996.
