Engine hose

After an engine company has had a working fire and stretched hose, is the hose taken of the rig once back at the house and cleaned or is this no longer a requirement due to modern hose material?

Unless the members decide to clean the hose for some reason, it gets packed on the scene.
Exceptions might be frozen hose, heavy mud, etc
Some hi-rise areas the units switch out the folded lengths for dry ones and then hang the wet hose or  lay it out.
