It's Paul, from New Orleans, again. My curiousity is piqued regarding the panel or compartment between the front and rear cab windows on FDNY apparatus. It is about even with the windows, over the wheel well on the chauffeur's side and appears to be brushed stainless or aluminum. It looks like it could be an air filter housing or something to that effect. It is found on both the Seagrave and the Ferrara apparatus. Thank you in advance!
