To close to Bn 35 & 37 and even the 28. On the west and south side it would open up a huge area between Bn 31 & 38.

This is a opinion, not any real fact. But I think it has something to do with actual location. I belive Battalions are located towards the middle of their First Due Area.

the 47 battalion is at the eastern end of its area 15 min hual to E329 which is at the eastern end of its 1st due area . other battalions are not always near the middle of the area ex. ,23, 8, . the 26 and the 17 are a few blocks away from each other

Battalion 47 was also originally with E266 more centralized and was moved when new house was built for E265/L121 and EMS was moved into the house.

329 is at the Western end of BN*47s Response area.......a 15 minute Response time from the 47s Qtrs to 329's would be in a non Emergency mode.
