FDNY Command Tac 3 & 4 Inservice

FDNY Command Tactical 3 & 4 are inservice for the summer.

Command Tactical 3 is on the 3 UTVs in Rockaway beach

Command Tactical 4 is in a PRU same as CT1 covering all of the rockaways riding out of E266. Strictly calls only in the rockaways and water rescues I believe pretty much everything south of the belt. Inservice 8-8

Why not add some SOC SCUBA divers to the unit and make it a completely water rescue unit? 8am -8pm is the perfect hours for such a unit for the summer months .

They truly can use some divers in the rockaways. R4 and 2 are a good distance for sure.

From the dispatch perspective it’s just CT04

Did Command Tac 2 ever go into service? I know it was planned, and even possibly had that robo-dog thing they used in the Manhattan collapse a while ago, but I haven't seen anything since

Hasn’t been approved they have the truck and all the equipment just needs the manpower
