As the saying goes; "March comes in like a LION and goes out like a LAMB". This is normally referring to the weather of NYC and surrounding areas. But in this case it could also be referring to the amount of fire activity beginning the first few days of March, 2017. Whether it goes out like a Lamb remains to be seen.

Let's take a quick look from March 1st to March 6th, in less than one week:

Staten Island:
  3/6 - 3rd Alarm - Box 3825

Queens:
  3/2 - 2nd Alarm - Box 2154
  3/4 - 7th Alarm - Box 6021

Brooklyn:
  3/4 - 3rd Alarm - Box 1218
PLUS - 19 All Hands fires

Bronx:
  3/1 - 4th Alarm - Box 2709
  3/6 - 4th Alarm - Box 2942

As another thread mentions, 0n just the 6pm X 9am tour for 3/4 - 3/5, there were a total of 14 jobs throughout the city.

Thanks, but the real reason the Fire Activity Report is here is because of those members who provided the information to each and every one of those incidents listed. Each incident list the address, the units that responded, as well as conditions and progress reports. Providing that is a lot more time consuming than just counting up the monthly tally count.

As June, 2017 comes to an end, there have been some Major Events occur over the last ten days or so.

1) June 20th - A Major Collapse in Queens at Box 7468

2) June 22nd - Bronx 5th Alarm at Box 2865

3) June 23rd - Queens 5th Alarm at Box 5100

4) June 27th - Manhattan 4th Alarm Train Derailment at Box 7153

5) June 28th - Manhattan 5th Alarm at Box 0396

Any one of these incidents would be a major event in any city throughout the country.

The members of the FDNY, FDNY/EMS, NYPD, as well as the 911 Operators and the Dispatchers proved themselves for sure. Credit of course goes to the doctors and nurses for their life saving skills as well.

In addition, all the thousands of other incidents continued to go on throughout the city requiring a response from these services as well.

Just a thought here, "I'm sorry, but I just don't put politicians at the top of my list". "It's people like this who go to the top of my list as far as I'm concerned".
