CONGRATULATIONS!

FDNY New Probationary EMT Class Graduation

Today, 135 FDNY Probationary EMTs will graduate the EMS Academy after 16 weeks of academically and physically demanding training. These EMTs have been trained to provide the best pre-hospital emergency medical care to New Yorkers. They can now call themselves EMTs in the busiest and the best Emergency Medical Service in the world.

“In this Department are all part of a team, with a shared mission saving lives and property. We show up to all kinds of emergencies, big and small, but always when people need us most. That’s an incredible honor and an incredible responsibility,” said Chief of Department John Hodgens at a graduation ceremony for FDNY Probationary EMTs. Chief of EMS Michael Fields said, “Do not place limitations on anything you want to achieve, the more you dream the further you will go. I look forward to being your biggest fan, cheering you all on as you move through the ranks, and grow within the best Fire Department and EMS service in the world.”
