The title of your thread got me excited because I thought they were actually going back to SUVs instead of pickup trucks!
 
Any idea on the current status of this? I have noticed some new Ford F-250 trucks (Building Unit and Haz Mat Bat CBRN unit). Any info on this is appreciated.
 
Does anybody know or have photos of the new Fire and EMS BC trucks (or suv's) for 2015? Are they staying with GMC, switching to Ford or going to the PI utility vehicles like the EMS Division Chiefs. Photos please if possible!!!
 


Here's Hazmat Battalion 2-CBRN. It's registration number says 2013, were the others also 2013 or were there some from after?
 
At the time they announced the winning bidder I looked up the dealer and noticed it was a gmc dealership.
 
The Buildings Unit is a F350 with a FM15005 unit number. I thought for sure they were switching to Ford when I saw that...guess not. Any idea when photos will be available. I will pay someone for photos of a group shot. I have a FDNY EMS and BC scrapbook I am wanting to update. Thanks to all for the info.
 
I don't see this contact as being awarded to anyone. The bid tabulations came back with:

beyer brothers corp = 14,652,180
berg family ent = 14,440,790 but did not bid on all items.
 
Unless I read this wrong, both of the bidders mentioned are GMC dealerships (if I Googled them correctly). Any input...I am in So. Illinois and not familiar with these dealerships.

I hope they don't order the new GMC trucks with the stupid looking star type chrome rims. They make the truck look like a cattle rancher from Texas. Not a good look  for a FDNY BC vehicle.
 
A new 2015 Ford F-350 was delivered for the SOC Rebreather Ops. Truck (FM15052), and EC-419 got a 2014 Ford F-450/Reading for Emergency Crew 419 if that helps anyone wiki updated as well
