These models are a nice way to preserve history. Looking at this picture there are subtle things that illustrate the transition from the C85/95 Mack’s of the late 50’s and 60’s Like the C series FDNY Mack’s, the 1968 CF Mack’s still had the booster reel up high in front of the hosebed but under the canopy. The booster line deployed via a set of rollers on the rear step grab bar. The new 1968 CF’s still carried a scaling ladder like it’s predecessors. The 1968 CF’s still had the “lollipop” lights mounted on the front cab by the windshield and at the rear above the canopy (porch) the rear lenses still had the word “stop” on the lens face. Very shortly by 1971, 1972 , the FDNY CF’s had a few more improvements such as the booster reel being placed below the hosebed on the rear step, stainless steel rear porch supports for better visibility and airflow while standing on the back step, red blinking lights inserted into the cab front, shiny metal cab front , hose tray added at pump house (not a cross lay but storage for Stang gun supply hose, replacement of rear deck lollipop lights with omnidirectional blinking red lights and an upgrade of the round conestoga canopy to a squared off canopy which allowed for more room when repacking hose 2CDF8061-72F8-4EEC-B77F-82BC32032D98.jpeg

When you look at the detail pics on their website you can see the differences between the 1968, 1970, and 1981 Mack CF pumpers. Unfortunately the 1970 models are sold out.
