Fireboat FIREFIGHTER Finds A Homeport

There's no room for it at Marine hq ?? I can't believe that no one has a spot they could give up !  Really sad thinking about what might happen if they don't find a spot
 
The problem with the Marine Division HQ is that it isn't really accessible to the general public, which they hope will pay to see/sail on the ship. Money will help keep her afloat, and for money to flow in, you need to put her where she can be seen.
 
The Fireboat "Firefighter" is still docked in Greenport LI...saw it last week
 
The former FDNY Fireboat "Firefighter" is still in Greenport LI NY & will be in the 2015 Maritime Festival this weekend ....specifically Sept 26,2015 at 1400 hrs there will be a Re-Dedication Ceremony & at 1500 hrs same day they will put on a Water Display.....the Festival itself has many attractions & is a good Family outing .....here is the schedule....http://www.greenportvillage.com/maritime-festival/
