FREEPORT NY (Nassau Co) Working Fire 7/1/26

Passing through Freeport from Baldwin, picked up the transmissions. Thought I was listening to a progress report from an Old School FDNY Field Comm. Most likely radio discipline was groomed by a former Rescue 1 F/F Paul H.
Surrounding properties, 2 lines S/O primaries conducted, negative, trucks opening up, control of fire etc. - really professional and a pleasure to listen to; maybe even better than some of our current chief's aides.

That's how it's done on "The Island"

There are many, many current and former members of FDNY in the 181 volunteer fire departments on Long Island . . . their influence is obvious.
