Hammer Team

I remember a few years ago there where Hammer teams in Manhattan, can remember if it was CityWide.  I think it was a crew of 2 FD members and 2 PD ESU.  Don't know if they had rigs or not.  Does anyone know if there still around or have any info on what they did?

They were disbanded several years ago. I have no idea what they did other than to annoy us with constant verbals from them that they picked up by buffing SOD.

HAMMER teams function was generally restricted to special events and the ad hoc units were termed special event units :-\

The job issued the team PD radios tuned to SOD. they would respond to the incidents the NYPD was not giving or delaying to the FDNY.
