As I understand it, this Hartford Police officer was the passenger responding to an incident in Hartford.
Enroute to that scene, their police car was T-boned by a car driven by an 18 year old driver who went through a red light hitting this police car.
The police officer who was the driver of the police car is reported to be in serious but stable condition.
This same 18 year old driver who hit this police car was stopped shortly before for a traffic violation by another officer.
Our condolences and prayers go out to the family, as well as to the Brothers and Sisters of the Hartford Police Department for their loss.
