When listening into FDNy on The bravest feed, do Hazmat 1 transmit on the citywide channel when they get a run, then switch over to the respective borough that they have the run in after that??

As in, is the Citywide channel their 'home' channel.

Many thanks

Citywide is supposed to be their home channel. There's actually a directive that states it.

So one would always hear Hazmat 1 on citywide when they get a run and when they carry out thier normal routines. As R1 transmits on Manhattan frequency.

Cheers FDNY150.

I think Haz Mat #1 hangs out on the Queens channel until they get a run to another borough.

150 I have to disagree with you there. If I remember correctly, there are no such things as "citywide" units. They're supposed to remain in their home borough (where their quarters are) until assigned. I know I saw that on paper too. The question is, which one came out last, yours or mine?

For all intents and purposes, Citywide is nothing more than a glorified buff frequency whose time has past. IMO.
