Incident Location: 22 East Avenue
On the afternoon of Saturday, December 30th, 2023, the Hicksville Fire Department operated on the scene of a signal ten [working fire] at a home on East Avenue off West Old Country Road. East Meadow was designated the FAST and responded to the scene with Ladder 619. Firefighters stretched two hand lines and put one hand line into operation for a fire in the basement of a two-story private dwelling. The fire was quickly extinguished and did not extend to the floors above. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation and Hicksville Chief of Department Moskos [9301] had command of the incident. (Text Credit: K2M)
