Indianapolis, 4 working fires, two people found shot in burning home 11/27/25

Indianapolis fire crews had a busy Thanksgiving Day with four working fires Thursday. At one fire, firefighters found two people shot inside the home, one person was pronounced dead at the scene, the other died at the hospital, two children were rescued from that house. At another fire, one firefighter suffered a minor burn from a hot ember.

Indianapolis Fire Department crews battled four separate fires on Thanksgiving Day, displacing 18 people and injuring one firefighter.
