Ladder 9

I?ve seen it done with TL87 before. Only thing I can imagine is that there are no available TLs? Or it?s for a short amount of time only. I believe 87s TL was in a funeral service when they had a rearmount spare a few months ago.

There was a period a couple of years back when there were very few spare tower ladders and TL12 ran with a rearmount for a while. There was also a shortage of spare tillers and a few tiller companies were running with rearmounts. ;)

TL9 is a 95footer also.  You wanna talk about having no spares in the 95foot pool.  There aren?t many.  We had a 75 footer for awhile till we got TL12s old rig. Spare pool is probably depleted

9 Truck look like they have their TL back as it was on scene at Box 588 (Steam Explosion) today going by pics. They also seemed to have a spare TL there washing down the buildings

ya, that's right, l forgot that only 15 or so companys have 95' TL ( just found that out a week or so ago ), l know a few decades ago there were only 2 l think TL 12, TL 172... but l thought they were more of them now.

Just wondering if shortage was caused by the asbestos explosion, all rigs that were in immediate area probably needed to be decontaminated so maybe that?s why 9had Rearmount temporarily.

We really should t seconding buildings like we are but thsts another story for another day.

I'm sure they are using L-9 at the steam explosion to wash down the buildings , seeing how it was already exposed from the initial response . I believe they are using 4 eng & 4 95' TL  for the clean up.  what ever spare 95'er that where available are being used for the clean up too .
